Graduated in 1980 as Master of Science in Electronics, I started my career as an R&D Engineer and was promoted to R&D Manager very shortly afterwards. In 1988 however, after 8 years being responsible for an R&D team developing process computers, I decided to take a career switch going "commercially".
From 1988 till 2001, I joined a family owned company, having offices in Belgium (Antwerp, Liège) and The Netherlands (Breda), where I started as Inside Sales Supervisor, becoming Sales Manager afterwards, and finally Director Sales & Marketing Benelux.
Troughout my career, "studying & (on the job) learning" continued to take part of my life, resulting in additional diploma's as Certified Interim Manager (UAMS), Master of Business Administration (AMS), Certified Director (GUBERNA)
In 2001, I decided to start my own Management Consultancy firm "Interpres BVBA", together with the creation of Atlantae Executive Search BVBA.
While Interpres BVBA is focussing on consultancy and management counseling at board level, Atlantae grew as an executive search boutique specializing in the search for engineering and managerial profiles.
Further growth plans in 2016 resulted in acquiring all shares of Egeminplus NV, a specialised recruitment and selection company, focussing on the recruitment of technical and engineering profiles. Shortly afterwards, the company name was changed to "Rialto Recruitment NV", symbolising the "bridging" function our company has between universities and industry, between employers and employees.
During that same period, Atlantae was elected sole Belgian Branch partner, becoming part of IMSA, a globally based International Management Executive Search network, having partners all over the world, with their headquarters operating from Zurich.
Besides my mandates as CEO of Rialto Recruitment, Atlantae Executive Search, Managing Partner of IMSA Belgium, I'm also dedicated in offering my professional services as Board Member at the Flanders Chamber of Commerce, Board Member at FEDERGON RSS committee, Member of the AMS Alumni Council, Member of the GUBERNA Alumni Council, while coaching Full Time International and Executive MBA students at Vlerick, and be a coach, mentor and member of the selection committee of Netwerk Ondernemen vzw, helping start-up companies with my professional advice.
